Friday- and hopefully a rest day comes tomorrow.

Today I continued to work on the Camp Booklets, making revisions, corrections, additions... you know, all the fun editorial stuff. I fixed up the Camp Timberlake: Wake Up master schedule, correcting the times on that as well. I also got the camp to finally send me the .jpg of the camp layout. So, now I have a map that I can put into the booklets. I've been waiting for that thing for about 2 weeks, so it's nice to finally not have a blank page in the booklet.

Holly came up around noon, and we went and ate at the Taco Inn. It was good, simple burritos. It's no Taco Bueno, but it'll do. Holly came back to the church with me, and we went down to the Fingerprints area, where the day-long daycare is located. They use the church for the daycare, so they're there every day except Sunday. They're there from 7am til about 7pm. Holly talked to Mary, the boss of Fingerprints, very briefly. They set up an interview time for next Thursday, I think. I'm not sure because I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.

After that, we had band practice for Camp Timberlake at 2pm. I got the sound system we'll be using for camp, as well as mics, speakers, music stands, etc... and set all of it up. Tyler, Todd, Eric, Holly and I practiced for about 2 hours, learning the songs and playing along with them. Hopefully it all comes together by the time camp rolls around. We're having another practice next Thursday, so hopefully that goes better. Everyone should be a little more familiar with the songs by then. We'll see.

Holly and I packed away all the sound equipment in the craft room in the children's ministry area... hopefully it stays there til the next practice without sustaining any damage. Then we both came back upstairs, and I needed to get a couple more things done. Holly said she'd wait for me to get it done. Well, to make a long story short, I didn't get much of my work done... it's not necessarily Holly's fault, but kind of is... because I was distracted by her beauty. We talked and I just didn't get much done. It was about 5pm then, so I called it a day and we came "home" to the Porter's.

We were invited to come eat dinner at Kelsey and Geoff Schultz's house. Kelsey is Kathy's daughter, so that's the correlation there. Anyways, the Schultz. Wow, what a family. Kelsey and Geoff are 28 and 31, respectively. They have 6, yes, SIX kids... but here's the kicker: all of them are adopted or foster kids! Not only that, but the age ranges of these "kids" is from 9 years to 19 years old. It's incredible to see how this family works! Kelsey is the "momma" and she commands respect. All the kids are black, or at least not white... and all are from messed up backgrounds. I respect the Schultz family a ton for what they are doing. It takes a special kind of person to be able to handle all of those teenage kids. I'm impressed.

Anyways, we ate dinner over there, hung out, talked, laughed, and just have an overall great time. We also got to watch De (one of the boys) wrestle with Kathy (the grandma to the kids). It was hilarious! I could never do that with my grandma! I just cracked up because Kathy was trash talkin the boys, and De "brought it on" like Kathy was begging them to. Oh my gosh... soooooo funny. Anywho! I sure had fun, and I'm sure that's not the last we'll see of them. They're a family I'll love to hang out with for the next year.

Holly and I got home, and now we're about to watch some LOST. We'll get to sleep in tomorrow, so we'll stay up a little bit and watch some of our addicting show. Sorry that this post is a really long one, but it's all good.
