Sunday. It was relatively easy, considering this was the first Sunday of the summer curriculum. We started with the Wake Up series, using this Sunday and the next as bookends to the camp week. The kids liked the tricks and flips that the video had on it. Things were a little hectic, because of the new schedule, but it worked out, and hopefully parents will become more familiar with the 9:30 Sunday morning process.
As for me, I ran the video and lights, gave a few words with the large group, then led my small group of 4th/5th grade boys (which is a group of about 5 guys), and then made sure all the kids got to their parents. I'm betting this summer will be pretty sporadic when it comes to Sunday mornings, because of the lack of routine. We'll see though. Nothing that would get too crazy... I hope.

Anyways, I came home, relaxed because I probably won't get to too much at camp, then started packing for camp. Holly and I went on a little burger date, just for the fun of it... and now it's time for tomorrow to get here. All this work put into this week, I hope things turn out fine, and that the kids are impacted by the lessons that are taught, and those that teach the lessons. I pray that the adults will be great examples for the kids, and that we come away from camp with a good experience, and the kids fired up for God.
I probably will not update day-to-day during camp, so I'll update when we get back. and with that! ...goodnight.
