Gotta love those Wednesdays.

Staff Meetings. Woo hoo! The part of the week where everyone on staff at Quad-C gets together in the morning for 3 hours and discuss what is going on in the church. Budgets are the talk of late. I hate talking about money, but at least I'm getting to see this side of ministry. Looks like the church isn't immune to the economical depression. Things will work out, it's just going to require pray, faith in God, and a long-term vision. Should be fun to see how all this turns out over the rest of the year.

Joy is back today. That's a good thing! She's returned from her vacation, and I from mine (albeit mine was rather dull and short compared to hers). After the staff meeting, we met after the lunch break.

Oh Camp. How I love thee. And how you will wear me out as I continue your planning. It's not bad at all... yet... but I know when June 7 comes around, I'll be ready for the week to get rockin and rollin. Joy and I talked about all things camp today. I whipped up a rough draft of the student booklet, and Joy and I made some revisions. We decided on what we were going to do for chapels, team challenges, and small group devotionals. We still don't have all of the details, but at least we made some good progress today.

After we got done with the revisions for the booklet, it was about 5pm. Where did the day go? Oh yeah, I spent all of it in meetings, one way or another. I was heading back up to my office to make the corrections to the booklet, but came to find that my door was locked. It locks by itself when it is shut. Tyler, the college ministry intern (who I met today), shut the door behind him. This would be no big deal if I had my keys with me... but I didn't. The keys were in my desk. Whoops. Oh well, I'll go find Todd. He's still here, somewhere.

I found Todd in the sanctuary, filming a baptism. 3 kids, all siblings, were being baptized. I sat in with Todd and watched the cool family moment. I think they'll be showing the video of the baptisms on Sunday during the services. Todd gave me his keys, and I unlocked the door to my office. Well, I thought I'd get the revisions done, but decided to call it a day instead. That little sit-down with Todd was a little relaxation time for me, and I figured that I'd just do the booklet stuff tomorrow instead of staying for another hour.

I came "home" to the Blythe's, ate my leftovers (BBQ from Pat's Blue Ribbon), talked with Joy and Dave some more about the cruise. They went to go visit Joy's dad, who is in the hospital but in good condition (with what? I'm not entirely sure).

I've been talking to Holly, Dana, Kyle, and little nephro Zach on Skype. This Skype thing is so cool. I like it. We've been having a good time. It's like I'm there, even though I can't be. I'm a nerd, I know. It's good getting to see everyone, talk to everyone, and watch little Zach play around on the cool stuff he has. :)

With that, I'm out for the night. Later.
