Today, I basically worked all day on the Camper's Booklet for the upcoming Camp Timberlake 2010 Wake Up! version edition of ultimate proportions. It's fun getting to dissect Craig Jutila's "Wake Up" curriculum, because I'm watching those dang videos and getting some fun ideas.
Putting the booklet together has taken longer than I thought it would. That's mainly because I am using an outdated version of Microsoft Office Publisher. Blah. I'm fine working with Office 2007 and anything that is current... but these older versions require me to relearn and rediscover everything about Publisher. I need a better program, but don't have the resources (aka MONEY) to get a good program. Plus, my laptop is already on the decline... so it's not like I have a suitable backup plan for my creative instincts.

Regardless, the booklet has come together pretty well. It looks alright for what I had to work with. I think I can put a link up on here to it, so you could see for yourself? I hope you have Publisher on your computer. Or maybe Adobe Reader (for .pdf formats). Here it is. Just the front page. I can't get all of it on here. If you want to see it, leave a comment, and I'll email you the document. :)
Well, that's basically what I did all day today in the office. I worked on the Camper Booklet, and began working on the Leader's Booklet for the counselors. I'll work on that more tomorrow.
From what I can understand, this will be a well-organized camp. More so than in the past. Maybe? I'm not sure. But I'll be a monkey's uncle if I wasn't prepared. Hopefully things turn out alright, and if they don't, that's cool. I'm more flexible than Gumby. Mmmm... Gumby's pizza sounds so good right now. Nom nom nom (that's me wishing I was eating Gumby's pizza).
After work, I went to Zach and Hannah's house. This couple (with 2 little girls) are a possible place where Holly and I could live for the next year. They have a little basement that Holly and I could occupy. They were nice, and their 2 year-old girl was cute as could be. Their other girl was born on March 30, 2010, so there would be a baby that Holly and I would have the please of listening to every night. She's a screamer. It's not the ideal situation, but it is a place to stay. I still have a couple other options of possible places for us to live, and I'll meet with them over the next few days. I hope to get this housing thing figured out as soon as I can. Then Holly will be able to move up here and be with me! Woo hoo!
Ok, That's all for the day. Hope you're having a good day/night/week. It's Friday tomorrow! Hope it's not raining all day where you are... it's raining here. It'll be a warm rain, which brings back so many memories. Happy memories to you.
