Friday is the day, and workin' is the way I spent it.

Yeah, I come up with clever rhymes like that all the time. I'm a rhyme bank. And I'm high in rank. But I don't stank, like the rank that you're thinkin, spank-ie... Yeah, all day long.

Today, I worked on the Leadership Booklet for Camp Timberlake. I'm excited about how all of this is turning out. I had to go through all the material and preparation work for the devos, and it looks like the "meat" of the camp will be better than I thought. I didn't initially think that this curriculum was the best choice for the camp, but things are rounding into shape. I worked on that Booklet all day. I'm still not done.

I did put together a real quick schedule, a big one, so that Joy and I could find out what needs to be done at what time, preparation work, as well as where each of us will at a certain time. I'm organized. I'm still in shock about this organization thing that I'm finding out about myself.

I showed Tyler around the building, some places that are good to know. Considering I hardly knew where things were when I started, I thought it would be a good idea to show him around. He's not big into sports though. That's fine, but it looks like he's looking for other options for activities on Friday nights... other than volleyball and basketball.

I stayed at the church late, because at 8pm the Ignite group meets to play volleyball and/or basketball. This group is the college group that Garet created. So, I waited at the church, no Tyler showing up, but I expected that from him, but he still should've been there. I waited til 9pm, and no one showed up. What the heck? After going upstairs to my office and checking my email and facebook, I saw that Tyler had sent a message out to everyone in the "Ignite" group on facebook. He canceled tonight's Ignite games and activities. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT... until it was too late. Blah. Night half-way wasted.

Came to the Blythe's, where a party was goin on. Well, it was a family-only party, but not exclusive to where I wasn't invited. It was just a grill-out with the family. I met Joy's daughter and her husband, and they seemed nice. Dave's parents came over as well. Kyle also joined the get together. Nice family time. I showed up a little later, so I didn't interrupt anything family-bonding, I hope. I ate some hotdogs and some chips and dip... yum... and am now ready to go to bed.

Tomorrow, there is a VBS planning meeting at 9am, so I have to be there for that. Boo, there goes my little sleep-in Saturday. Hopefully this meeting isn't stressful and doesn't put a ton on my plate before camp. I'm perfectly fine with working on VBS, but I'd rather completely make sure that Camp is planned and ready to go before I start diving head-first into the whole VBS vortex. We'll see how it goes. Night!
