And man, it made a difference. I had all the materials ready for my side of things, and nothing was forgotten. Everything was in its place. Smooth sailing. If you're waiting for a "but..." you're not getting it. I just walked around, checking on things, singing and dancing with the kids, and just took it easy. This is how it should be.
I subbed for a class, only about 15 minutes of small group time. Chelsea, the girl who usually does the small group time, was participating in graduation Sunday. She's a senior, I'm betting. Anyways, she'll be gone next week as well, so I'll be filling in for that small group time again. No biggie. The kids were excited that I was their teacher, and I took the time to get to know them a little better, while tying in the lesson with it. Cool.
Aside from children's ministry church stuff, I talked to Kathy Porter about my living situation. She said Holly and I could stay with them for the time that it takes to finish Thomas' basement. Also, my dad can have a place to stay there as well when he comes up. I'm happy that everything is working out. Thanks to the Porters and a continual thanks to my Dad.
I ate lunch with the Blythe's after church, then hopped in the car and drove to Manhattan. Easy drive... but came home to find Holly feeling under the weather. Strep throat, she thinks. Not good, especially since I was hoping to move on Monday and Tuesday. It's supposed to rain on Tuesday, which isn't good. Bah. Of course it's going to rain. Hard. We'll see how this goes.We watched LOST, trying to catch up, even though the series finale was tonight for regular viewers. We like the show, we just hope no one screws up the ending for us.
And with that, We're off to bed.
